Since the age of 20, Vintage Recalled was a concept that has always been a dream of our founder and owner, Jason Chancey. While working in apparel for almost his entire retail career, there was one thing that he noticed was missing. Ok, maybe more than one thing. A vintage clothing boutique selling fashionable “slightly used” and new apparel and accessories with an atmosphere that is fun, upbeat and trendy. One that did not feel like a thrift store.

Jason has almost 20 years of retail experience, 11 of which has been at the corporate level as a junior executive, almost all of which have been in apparel. Fashion has always been his passion. Fashion at affordable prices has been an even bigger passion. After working for several large apparel companies through the years and learning so much about the retail industry, the time has come to make a dream become reality! Fast forward to Fall, 2010! The birth of Vintage Recalled.

We have already been asked the question, “how did you come up with the name?” Well, it’s rather simple. We thought it was important to have a clear message in the name around the type of product we will be selling. This is where the word “Vintage” came into play. The word “Recalled” was more of what happens in the brain when you think of the word vintage. When you think vintage, what comes to mind? Well if you are like us, you “recall” all of the great clothing, toys, cars, furniture, etc. that you may have had through your life or that you have seen. Pretty simple, right?

So go ahead and recall! It’s healthy for the soul!
